Hi Jeremy, can you tell me a little about yourself?

Certainly can, Jeremy. Thanks for asking. You know how typically, you've got a friend who won't let go of the microphone when there is one around? Yep, that's me. Want me to sing a song while you walk down the isle? Don't tempt me, I'll give it a red hot crack. Look, it might not be any good, but...

I'm a tech-loving, football [soccer] raving (go Jets - we were so close in the 17-18 season), whisky drinking, 35 year old bloke from Newcastle, NSW.

Why did you become a celebrant, Jeremy?

Well, Jeremy, like you, I've attended many weddings, some of which have been less than entertaining and thought to myself, why does it have to be like this?

So, as I mentioned earlier, I do enjoy the company of a microphone and have MC'd a number of friend's weddings and loved it. I had two gorgeous couples ask me to complete the celebrancy (not to be confused with celibacy) course so I could marry them, so I did just that, and had an amazing time as their celebrant in March and April 2018. #noboringweddings. Since then, I've met with many amazing couples and have married the hell out of plenty of them! I'm genuinely excited.

What else do you do with your time?

I've just left my full time job and taken up a part time gig so I can focus more on weddings. How. Freakin'. Awesome! I love meeting new people and having a chat which comes in handy in this as a marriage celebrant. I would love to do this full time, but until that day, let's take it one glorious wedding at a time.

Fantastic, thanks for taking the time to talk with me, Jeremy.

Jeremy, stop interviewing yourself, you sound ridiculous.
